CLEAR2026 Symposium

Dear CER colleagues, 

The CLEAR Symposium is just around the corner and we’re excited to see all of the amazing posters and talks that will be presented. 

What is CLEAR?  CLEAR is a global virtual symposium connecting chemistry educators worldwide with the mission of improving the chemistry teaching laboratory for future generations through research. This symposium is also endorsed by the Canadian Chemistry Education Division, the American Chemical Society’s Chemistry Education division, and other chemistry education divisions in Germany, UK, the larger Europe, and Australia. 

This year’s symposium will focus on Sustainability and Green Chemistry and take place on Thursday, May 7th, 2026.

If you don’t have any research to present, you can also just register to attend this free symposium

The deadline for submissions and registration is March 28th. If you have any questions, please email clearsymposium@gmail.com.   

This is a great opportunity to showcase your latest research, assessment, or evaluation in the chemistry laboratory and connect with peers. Posters will be presented electronically in the hour before the conference and/or the hour after, depending on the presenter’s preference based on timezone.

Doctoral Student, CERN

The Education research team at CERN is looking for a Doctoral Student who will advance research on typographic representations by iteratively developing them in different contexts, investigating how teachers engage with, adapt, and implement such representations in their instructional practice, or empirically validating them with high-school students. This Doctoral Student will be part of the Teacher Programmes team and will be actively involved in the management and delivery of CERN’s national and international teacher programmes (teachers.cern).

Teacher Programmes Manager, CERN

The Education team at CERN is looking for a Teacher Programmes Manager who will provide strategic leadership and operational management of CERN’s national and international teacher programmes, designing and delivering professional development programmes that help teachers keep up to date with the latest developments in particle physics and related areas.

Fachtag MINT 2026: Digitalität und Künstliche Intelligenz im naturwissenschaftlichen Unterricht

Digitalisierung und Künstliche Intelligenz eröffnen neue Möglichkeiten für den naturwissenschaftlichen Unterricht – von Simulationen und KI-gestützter Datenauswertung bis hin zu adaptiven Lernsystemen. Gleichzeitig stellen sie Lehrkräfte vor die Herausforderung, diese Technologien fachlich fundiert, kritisch und verantwortungsvoll einzusetzen.

Der Fachtag MINT 2026 am 12. März 2026 an der Universität Osnabrück (Campus Westerberg) bietet praxisnahe Workshops, eine hochkarätige Keynote und interdisziplinäre Impulse rund um den sinnvollen Einsatz digitaler Werkzeuge und KI im MINT-Unterricht. Die Veranstaltung richtet sich an Lehrkräfte der naturwissenschaftlichen Fächer, Fachleitungen, Studienseminare sowie alle Interessierten aus der MINT-Bildung.
